Hi, I’m Troy Lambert. And I’m helping Julie Evans (and those around her) tell her story. But why her story, and why now? Well, indulge me for a moment, and let me explain. Because the story behind the story is almost as important, or maybe more so, than the story itself.
Who Am I?
A while back, Julie approached our publisher through her agent, Rick Mayston of Agent Fox Media, about the possibility of publishing her story. We’re a niche publisher of non-fiction, and we’re looking at some interesting projects for next year. You can read more about Mooney and Lambert here. We have a unique partnership with Agent Fox Media and some other great people around the world, but that’s not what we’re here to discuss.
The problem with sharing Julie’s story? Well, it wasn’t written yet. Not that a small part of it hasn’t been told, but that small part is not nearly the whole story. She was looking for a ghostwriter or co-writer, and that—well, her story intrigued me. So here we are.
Who am I, though? Well, I’m a novelist, with over thirty titles to my credit, a freelance writer, a ghostwriter, and an editor. I’m also the co-owner of a publisher. But boil it down, and I am just a storyteller. It’s what I was built for, and it’s what I do.
So when Julie needed someone to help tell her story, I agreed.
Well, I’m not going to tell you the whole story. If I did, why would you need to read the book? But I’m going to give you an outline so you can see why you need to read it.
Julie and her daughter had been through some stuff, to say the least. After finally being offered a council house after lots of searching, she decided to take it. The place was in awful shape, but with the help of her then-boyfriend, they cleaned things up the best they could and moved in.
But odd things started happening right away. Things that at first have you questioning your sanity, then have you wondering who or what you’re sharing your house with, and then things that have you both terrified and trapped, isolated from those around you.
And you’ve got to get help. But there is a lot of the wrong kind of help out there, as you will learn. And by the time they found it, Julie and her daughter were in very real danger.
Along came Chris Fleming and the team at Help My House is Haunted. Chris is a world-renowned medium, and through True TV and Back to Back Studios, created a show with a team who explored hauntings, possession, and all things paranormal.
In season 2, episode 8, they arrived at Julie’s house. The Demon House, as we came to call it. And it was like nothing they had ever seen before. And although the producers tried, the experience wasn’t one that could be summarized in a 45-minute episode. In fact, if you watch (On Discovery+ streaming service), you can almost “feel” where they fast-forwarded just to get to the end.
In many ways, the show was “The End” of part of this saga, but it was also part of a new beginning.
So far, Julie has told me much of her story. I’ve been writing it and gathering bits from those around her: her daughter Jess, Chris Fleming, and others. And we’re pulling it all together. Stay tuned here for audio excerpts, video excerpts, and more.
Because up to the launch of the book, we will be sharing these and more. And before launch in April of 2022, you will be able to personally invest in this project. Because Julie has a story that needs to be told. You can help tell it and make a difference in the world.
Going Beyond the Book
A book is just the beginning. We want everyone to learn from Julie’s mistakes and experiences. We want you to know warning signs, do’s, and don’ts when it comes to spiritual things, and where to turn if you do find yourself in a position where you need help.
We have video footage, audio footage, and more coming your way. Are you ready to face the reality of the spiritual realm that exists all around us? Do you want to understand more about how it works (and how it doesn’t)?
You can start by subscribing to our email list. We’ll never sell your information, but we will send you updates on the book, events beyond the book, and what is next for The Demon House.
